My name is Tina Webber and I was a participant in the #GratitudeChallenge because I believe that if you want to see change in the world, you have to be it!
Just recently, I was going through some of the toys I bought for my two daughters, and I realized that I had bought way too much. Without hesitation, I went on a search for a family in need for Christmas presents to give to their kids.
I found a local single father who has been out of work for awhile now and couldn’t afford gifts for his 4 year old daughter. His niece found my post on a yard sale Facebook site and contacted me and told me his situation. I met with him and gave him the gifts and he was instantly moved. He was so grateful. He told me that I was really an amazing person for doing this and so forth. I may not have a lot of money and I may not be famous, but I have kindness in my heart and I made a positive impact on this man’s life. I feel like I made THIS man’s world a little more brighter and I think that’s how I think you make the world a better place.
I am glad that I was able to help this father out this season and help put a smile on his little girls face when she wakes up Christmas morning and finds out that Santa did come!
Other ways I am participating in giving back this season is by providing monetary donations to local toy drives as well. 🙂
