#HealthyEats RECIPE – Green Smoothie

Green Smoothie

  • 1 cup romaine
  • 2 cups spinach or kale (or a mix ofΒ both)
  • 8 oz homemade almond milk (or other favorite nut milk)
  • 1 frozen small banana or small apple
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • Top with bee pollen and a bit of chlorella or spirulina

Directions: Blend the greens with the milk. Add in the avo and banana, mix again and pour a glass.

    It’s probably worth mentioning that it’s recommended to use local bee pollen when possible to hopefully avoid allergies.

    Also, chlorella and spirulina are great examples of ‘good things come in small packages’ – go easy on the amount when first using.

    This smoothie is delish even without the bee pollen and chlorella/spirulina.
